Membership Categories
We welcome golfers from every walk of life and pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere that is inclusive and exclusive.
We currently have limited joining categories due to primary membership being full.
Full Ordinary Members
A Full (Ordinary) member is entitled to enter any competition conducted by the Club subject to any limitations which may be applied by the Match Committee and social golf as and when the course is available for social play.
7 Day Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Restricted A members are permitted to play Thursday PM, Friday, Saturday AM, Sunday AM and PM mixed and medley competitions and social golf as and when the course is available for social play.
- Restricted A male members are permitted to play Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM or PM competitions.
- Restricted A female members are permitted to play Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM and Thursday AM competitions.
- Restricted A members may also play in other competitions as determined by the Captain or their nominee including Honour Board events.
- During the Club season, Restricted A members may place their names on the Saturday PM timesheet if vacancies exist after 5pm on the prior Wednesday.
7 Day Provisional Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Included only as a joining category.
- Restricted A Provisional members are permitted to play Thursday PM, Friday, Saturday AM, Sunday AM or PM mixed and medley competitions and social golf as and when the course is available for social play.
- Restricted A Provisional males are permitted to play Tuesday AM and Wednesday AM competitions.
- Restricted A Provisional females are permitted to play Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM and Thursday AM competitions.
- Restricted A Provisional members may also play in other competitions as determined by the Captain or their nominee including Honour Board events.
- Restricted A Provisional male members may place their names on the Wednesday PM timesheet if vacancies exist after 5pm on the prior Sunday.
- During the Club season, Restricted A Provisional male and female members may place their names on the Saturday PM timesheet if vacancies exist after 5pm on the prior Wednesday.
- Restricted A Provisional members must accept an invitation to move to Restricted A.
Mid Week Plus Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Restricted B members are permitted to play Thursday PM, Friday, Sunday AM and PM mixed and medley competitions and social golf as and when the course is available for social play.
- Restricted B male members are permitted to play Wednesday AM (not PM) competitions.
- Restricted B male members may place their names on the Tuesday AM timesheet if vacancies exist after 5pm on the prior Tuesday.
- Restricted B female members are permitted to play Tuesday AM and Thursday AM competitions.
- Restricted B members may also play in Honour Board events as determined by the Match Committee.
- Restricted B members may also play in other competitions as determined by the Captain or their nominee.
Mid Week Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Restricted G Members are permitted to play Thursday medley competitions, Friday and certain Sunday AM and PM mixed competitions as determined by the Captain. This does not include Sunday medley competitions.
- Restricted G male Members are permitted to play Wednesday AM (not PM) competitions.
- Restricted G male members may place their names on the Tuesday AM timesheet if vacancies exist after 5pm on the prior Tuesday.
- Restricted G female Members are permitted to play Tuesday AM and Thursday AM competitions.
- Restricted G Members are permitted to play social golf Monday-Friday, when the course is accessible for social play
- Restricted G Members are permitted to play social golf on Sunday after 3pm, when the course is accessible for social play.
Restricted 9 Hole Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Restricted 9 Hole members will have the option of up to three competitions available to play most weeks of the year, but can only participate in two competitions per week. Competitions for Restricted 9 Hole members will be conducted on Tuesday AM, Friday PM and Sunday PM when the course is available. Restricted 9 Hole members are eligible to play the Twilight 9 Hole Competition during the twilight season.
- Members who join the Club as Restricted 9 Hole members may transfer to an 18 Hole membership category, if membership category limits allow, but must pay the difference between the applicable nomination fees of the day and proportional subscription fees if the transfer occurs during the Club year.
- Restricted 9 Hole members may play up to 9 holes socially on a daily basis when the course is available for social play.
- Restricted 9 Hole members will have booking priority for most nine hole competitions. Other membership categories with applicable playing rights will be able to book into 9 hole competitions three days prior to the competition day.
- Restricted 9 Hole members will be eligible to book in certain 18 Hole Social Golf competitions as determined by the Club Captain.
Senior Status Members
- Senior Status is only available in the FULL membership category and RESTRICTED sub-categories at 40 members or 15% of the category or sub-category membership limit respectively, whichever is the lesser.
- A Senior Status member will pay a subscription equal to 75% of their membership category/sub-category.
- To be considered for Senior Status, in addition to complying with the constitutional requirements of attaining the age of 65 years and 25 years of continuous membership, and Senior Status member must:
- be eligible for the full aged pension and
- agree to advise the Board should they cease to be eligible for the full aged pension
Junior Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Junior Members are permitted to play in the Thursday PM, Sunday AM or PM mixed competitions.
- Junior male members may play in the Wednesday AM competition.
- Junior female members may play in the Tuesday AM and Thursday AM competitions.
- Junior Members are not permitted to play in the Saturday AM or PM competitions. Any exceptions will be at the discretion / invitation of the Captain.
- Junior Members may enter “Major” Club competitions at the discretion of the Captain.
- A Junior membership may be terminated at any time at the discretion of the Board.
Country Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Country Members, who are members normally residing not less than 120km from the Perth GPO, are restricted to 18 games at the Club in each Club financial year.
- Country members are permitted to play Thursday PM, Friday, Sunday AM and PM mixed competitions and social golf as and when the course is available for social play.
- Male Country members are permitted to play in the Wednesday AM (not PM) competitions.
- Female Country members are permitted to play Tuesday AM and Thursday AM competitions.
- Any games played as a representative of a Club pennant team are additional.
Non-Playing Members
CLOSED
- Non-Playing Membership is available to any member who has completed three full years of membership and in doing so has paid their respective nomination fee in full.
- Non-Playing subscriptions cannot be paid in instalments.
- Any member approved as Non-Playing is permitted, on payment of the appropriate green fee, to play on the golf course up to six times per year other than in Club Competitions.
- All outstanding balances must be paid in full before any request to transfer to Non-Playing will be approved.
- Any Buggy Storage Bay and Locker must be surrendered on transfer to Non-Playing. Should members transfer back to a playing category, automatic escalation to the top of the wait list for these facilities will be offered in the event the member previously had the facility.
- Non-Playing Members are entitled to use the practice facilities.
Non-Playing Members (Medical)
- Non-Playing (Medical) membership is available to any member who, on medical grounds, does not intend to play the course for a minimum period of six months
- All applications must be received in writing by the Board of Management and supported by a Medical Certificate endorsed by a Specialised Medical Practitioner
- Non-Playing (Medical) members have the option to retain Buggy Shed and Locker spaces for the duration of their Non-Playing membership
- Any member approved as a Non-Playing (Medical) member is permitted to play on the golf course up to six times, on payment of the appropriate green fee, to test their readiness to return to active membership. Such play must not be in Club competitions
- Non-Playing (Medical) members are entitled to use the practice facilities.
Practice Plus Members
CLOSED – enquire about being placed on the waitlist
- Social Plus Members have full use of the Clubhouse facilities.
- Social Plus Members with a GA Handicap can access certain 18 Hole Social Golf competitions as determined by the Club Captain.
- Social Plus Members with a GA Handicap can play the Twilight Competition during the Twilight Season.
- Social Plus Members may, on payment of a green fee, play the course, other than Club Competitions, not more than six times per year.
- Social Plus Members may utilise the practice facilities on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from 1pm.
- Members who join the Club as Social Plus Members may transfer to a Restricted 9 or 18 Hole category, if membership category limits allow subject to the conditions stipulated under By-Law 7.19 – Membership Category Change.
Social Members
- A person who has attained the age of 18 years, being a spouse or from the household of a member, or such other person as the Board may approve, may be elected as a social member of the Club.
- Social Members have full use of the clubhouse facilities, however, may not use the golf facilities other than subject to the conditions applicable to guests.
Limited Members (Playing)
A financial member who, by reason of physical infirmity: is unable to enjoy the full playing privileges of membership; and
- who wishes to retain an association with the Club,
- may apply to the Board for transfer to the membership category of a limited member (playing).
A limited member (playing):
- may not apply for transfer to any other category of playing membership;
- will pay such reduced annual subscription as is determined by the Board;
- may play social golf but may not participate in or interfere with any competitions;
- cannot propose new members to the Club; and
- will have no voice in the management of the Club.
Temporary Club Membership
Overseas visitors and interstate visitors to Perth may, on application, be granted temporary Club membership for monthly periods not exceeding six consecutive months on payment of a pro rata sum equal to 200% of the current annual subscription. Such visitors may belong to one of the following categories: Restricted A or Junior. Temporary membership confers full privileges of the Clubhouse facilities. Applications for temporary membership must be accompanied by documentary evidence that the applicant is a current member of a Club affiliated to the AGU or equivalent overseas body and holds a current handicap.
Reciprocal Club Membership
Reciprocal members will have such use of the club’s facilities as per the memorandum of understanding between the club and the reciprocal member’s home club.
