Our Club

About Us

Just 10 minutes from Perth’s CBD, Mount Lawley Golf Club is one of Western Australia’s premier sporting clubs, offering a championship golf course and outstanding member facilities.

Established in 1928, the Club has a strong tournament pedigree, having hosted State and National Amateur events, including the Western Australian Open. Set across 79 hectares of natural bushland, the course combines an easy-walking layout with a fair challenge for all abilities and striking views of Perth’s skyline.

Modern practice facilities, expert PGA Professionals, and a contemporary clubhouse overlooking the opening and finishing holes complete a golfing experience that is both refined and welcoming.

Our History

In late 1927, a small but determined group of men and women came together to explore the creation of a golf course at Mount Lawley, then on Perth’s northern fringe. Against a backdrop of economic uncertainty and a growing passion for sport in Australia, their vision gathered momentum, leading to the formal establishment of Mount Lawley Golf Club in 1928.

That journey—from a bold idea to a modern, respected club—was later captured in the 2011 publication From Humble Beginnings…The Mount Lawley Golf Club. Richly illustrated and thoughtfully written, the book traces the Club’s evolution through its people, events, and achievements, honouring those who shaped its legacy and whose names continue to feature proudly on the honour boards today.
